Cherie Blair CBE KC Becomes Patron of 50:50 Parliament

Cherie Blair CBE KC has become a Patron of 50:50 Parliament, the cross-party campaign to achieve equal representation in Parliament, reinforcing her longstanding commitment to increasing women’s representation and ensuring that leadership better reflects the society it serves.

Throughout her career, Cherie has worked to remove barriers that prevent women from participating fully in public life and decision-making. As a barrister, author and founder of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, she has spent decades advancing women’s rights and expanding opportunities for women to lead in business, politics and public life, both in the UK and internationally.

As Patron, Cherie will support 50:50 Parliament’s mission to achieve equal representation in political leadership. She shares the organisation’s belief that when decision-making bodies reflect the diversity of the communities they serve, they make better decisions, strengthen democracy and deliver better outcomes for everyone.
