“Home Is Where the Hurt Is”: Cherie Blair Calls Attention to Domestic Abuse

Cherie Blair appeared on ITV London News to highlight the vital work of domestic abuse charity Refuge and support its new campaign ahead of International Women’s Day. Speaking about Refuge’s “Home Is Where the Hurt Is” campaign, Cherie helped raise awareness of the reality that for many women the most dangerous place is their own home, and emphasised the importance of ensuring survivors can access specialist support. Refuge provides life-saving services for women and their children escaping abuse across the UK, including refuge accommodation, community services and the 24/7 National Domestic Abuse Helpline.
